Volunteering
Volunteering for this study involves:
Informed Consent
- You will have an interview at the start of the study.
- We will tell you about the study in detail.
- We will answer any questions you have.
- You will read and sign a consent form for the study.
Eligibility Screening
- We will ask you questions about your health.
- You will receive a medical exam that includes blood tests.
Vaccination
- During the study, you will receive a series of vaccinations.
- You will be asked to keep a record of any physical reaction you have to the vaccine, like a soreness in your arm or having a fever.
Monitoring
- We will take blood from you so we can see how the vaccine is working in your body.
- Your follow-up visits will include an interview, an HIV test, and discussion about how to practice safe sex.
